The right cornice is this one who responds to the selected by you way of hanging up and the movement of the curtain regarding to the type of the premise (the room).
If you intend to renew your old curtains or to buy a new one the most important thing prior is to answer a few questions:
1.how will I fix the curtains to the ledge – according the usual way by small hooks, by belts, with bonds, by built in caps or…
2. I want my cornice to be:
A traverse PVC
B traverse aluminium
C flexible profile for oval shapes
D pipe with rings and gutter
E string cornice
3.only curtains or curtains and hangings will be necessary
(Thin and thick or only thick)
4.is it necessary a mechanism of the cornice ( command) for movement of the curtain or the curtain will move mechanically (by hand)
5.what is the shape of the windows and what is the opportunity for cornice installation
Remember! There are no standard windows. If you want your curtains and cornices to be produced exactly under the measurements of your windows, read below.
selection of the traverse
A. There are PVC traverses with one, two and three gutters. This type cornices are the most widely distributed and they are not expensive. We suggest many fit accessories and variants. The three guttered are used more rarely and in cases when it is foreseen a drapery to be fixed to the thin and thick curtain.
Sizes
The size of the traverse is taken usually from wall to wall. It is possible to cover and only the window (20 cm shall be leaved from the both sides) so for this purpose we recommend the usage of ended angles. Maximum size 3.5 m. An additional element shall be spliced in case of necessity. There are ended angles too.
Installation
The traverses might be fixed on the ceiling. It is possible and on the wall by Г-shaped metal crossbeams at an interval of 50 cm.
If there is no foreseen niche at the ceiling where the traverse could be fitted to be invisible, we offer a decorative profile – blind in different colours.
B. Aluminium cornices MOTTURA
you can require cornices for upright or oval walls, for arched or bay-windows. These cornices are white powder covered. They can be supplied with a mechanism for curtain movement. The aluminium traverse are strong, much more durable and ensure a glade movement.
Sizes
You could take the sizes but for more complicated shapes or ovals we would recommend our specialist. Maximum size is 6 m. Show what the movement of the curtain will be (in one or two directions) and what will be the position of the command
(from the left or from the right).
Installation
The aluminium cornices could be fitted directly on the ceiling or on the wall
by Г-shaped cross-beams. This cornice is more elegant and there is no need of hiding it by additional blind. It can be supplement with manovana for drapery fitting.
C. Flexible pvc cornice for oval walls
It is suitable for fitting on oval walls with niches. It is compliable for one- or two-roll curtains. It could be bended according the position of the fitting straps. This profile is not notably refined but the curtain might be sewed so that it could hide the cornice.
Sizes
You could take the sizes. No need of model. All you need is the length of the oval. The size of the profile is unlimited (to 50 m.).
Installation
The installation is made usually on the ceiling. For double cornice – two profiles should be fitted one after other.
It is not suitable for upright zones.
D. Pipe cornice for one or two curtains.
If you want to impress with the detail and to finish the conception of the curtain, if you have already chosen your curtain to be fitted by built caps, bonds or belts – this is your cornice.
We offer pipes and elements Ф12,Ф16,Ф20 ,Ф28, etc. Great diversity in colours and adapters. They are produced from yellow material, chrome, steel, aluminium, wood, etc. The curtain could be fitted by ring and hook or only by hook in gutters in the pipe (profile).
Sizes
The pipe cornice usually covers only the windows (comes out of the both sides at 20 cm.) but it can join together window and door or two windows. Maximum size to 5 m. For bigger sizes it could be spliced. In case of sizes over 2.00 m. the cross-beams for fitting are desired to be three and to be consistent with the separation of the curtain. It is necessary the distance between the window and the curtain to be at least 15-20 cm for good-looking.
Installation
You can fit the pipe cornices directly on the wall and more rarely on the ceiling and according the condition that the cornice is not double. In this case two similar cornices one beyond other should be fitted
This cornice is very elegant and there is no need of hiding it by drapery. It is possible for decoration the band to be wrapped like a shawl for to contribute the design of the curtain.
E. String cornice for one or two light curtains.
If you want to impress by elegance and to decorate only by sheer materials – this is your cornice. Cross-beams are for fitting on one or two opposite walls. An average cross-beam is offered for heavier curtains.
Sizes
String cornice may usually covers only the window (from the both sides with 20 cm.) but it can and reaches from wall to wall. Maximum size to 5 m. It is not spliced. In case of sizes over 2.20 m an additional average cross-beam is need for fitting to the purpose bigger stability. Suitable for all type windows.
Installation
You can fit the string cornice directly on the wall and more rarely on the ceiling and according the condition that the cornice is not double. In this case two similar one beyond other should be fitted
This cornice is very modern and lying.
!!! It is IMPORTANT to weight the same place of the fitting according the protrusion of the radiators or concave windows. Then the traverses should be fitted ahead but for the pipe is used longer cross-beam or extensor to the cross-beam.
Cutting
In case of need the cornices could be cut easy by handsaw.
Accessories

Cleaning of the cornices shall be done only by wet piece of cloth without any detergents with abrasive elements or acid detergents.
Especially for the cornice built by yellow material, a polish by special paste for yellow materials is recommended at least twice in the year.
With roulette and pencil
In case of already fitted or selected cornice you can require for sewing your curtains.
It is important to check the height of the already sewed curtain from-to and the size of the cornice. And to check to how many pieces the curtain shall be divided.

blind selection
A. There are roller blinds made from different type materials. The roller blinds are used basically for eclipse over the aerial or average thick curtain. The sizes are prepared by order but the materials are suggested through a rich catalogue. The roller blinds are created for office and more rarely they are used in the home without any curtains. They are very practical and discrete. No washing required. They shall by clean by wet piece of cloth. They have long lifetime and does not parched.
Sizes
The size of the roller blinds is taken usually according the size of the wings of the window. It is possible to cover two or three not big windows (comes out of the both sides at 5-10 cm) Maximum size 2.50 m./2.00 m. When the blind is maximum rolled up it takes only 7-8 cm. It can be used on windows which are settled near the ceiling.
Installation
The roller blinds shall be fitted very easy by metal straps on the ceiling or on the wall. It is not recommended fitting on the woodwork especially with opening windows.
B. Roman shapes
The Roman shapes are created to bring elegance in the interior, they impart individuality and have a unique style.
The variety of colours and structure of the materials allow the Roman shapes to be a modern emphasis in the forming of the internal space.
They are used in different variants and combinations compatible with classic curtains, compatible with two mechanisms for thin and thick blinds and whatever else you took into your mind.
They are fitted on the ceiling, on the woodwork, on the wall so their usage would not impede the opening of the windows or doors.
They are suitable for big show cases in the living room and especially suitable for little separate windows for example in the kitchen or in the bathroom.
Suitable for children’s rooms and bedrooms.
The fibres are selected as the selection of the curtain and the maintenance is simple.
Sizes
The size of the Roman shapes is taken usually according the size of the wings of the window. The width of the wing shall be complied so as the width of opening windows with handles. It is possible to cover two or three not big windows (comes out of the both sides at 5-10 cm) Maximum size is near 2.50 m. width and height.
Installation
The Roman shapes shall be fitted very easy by metal straps on the ceiling or on the wall. During fitting on the woodwork the mechanism BASIC of MOTTURA shall be used in case of opening windows. This mechanism is tided to the woodwork and does not impede the opening of the windows or doors.
C. Japan wall
Is it a blind or a curtain? This is the new type blind – a Japan wall. They are particularly better inserted in the modern interior and as though they touch us to the spirit of the Eastern philosophy. They can wonderfully replace the role of the curtain and the heavy curtain.
The mechanisms that we offer are MOTTURA, GARDINIA and STORDECO.
The roller mechanism is not intrusive and gives big opportunities for different configurations. Two to five canal systems exists and they are offered in two colours – white and aluminium. The cloths could be managed by chains or to be freely moved.
Sizes
The size should be taken usually according the size of the wall (from-to) for height and width. The width of the cloths shall be complied with the width of opening windows and doors. The width of the cloths is required to be between 50-100 cm. The maximum size of the mechanism is 5.00 m. An opportunity for splicing is available.
Installation
The system for Japan wall is fitted very simple by straps closely to the ceiling.
The Japan wall is easy for cleaning and maintenance.
